Automatic Sign-In API: Deepening Apple's Ecosystem Integration
Apple has announced a pivotal update for Apple TV users: the new Automatic Sign-In API, arriving with tvOS 26 and iOS 26. According to MacRumors and 9to5Mac, this feature will enable users to log into an app on one Apple device—such as an iPhone—and be automatically signed into that app across other supported Apple devices, including Apple TV. For instance, entering credentials for Disney+ on an iPhone will also sign the user in on their Apple TV, obviating repeated logins and enhancing device continuity.
