Saturday Morning Meta: Banned from /r/apple

Hey everyone!

Happy Saturday! I’ve got a funny story for you. I got banned from the /r/apple subreddit this week. No biggie—I was self-promoting my articles, which I get might be seen as spammy. But honestly, I think my content is high quality and worth sharing.

After the ban, I started poking around to see what’s going on in /r/apple. Turns out, there’s basically one user, Drtysouth205, who’s posting almost all the MacRumors articles. I have nothing against them – they’re obviously a dedicated fan – but it feels kind of spammy, doesn’t it? One person posting from one site to a subreddit with over 5 million subscribers? That’s a little weird in juxtaposition to my ban.

A Little Help?

I’m not saying we should all spam the subreddit, but it’d be great if you could share some of my articles there every so often. I put a bit of effort into creating content that I think would add value to the community. The three or four posts I did make before getting banned were pretty well received by the community. So, if you enjoy my posts, give them a little boost on /r/apple! 😃

Have an awesome weekend y'all!
